As one of South Africa’s premier tourist locations, The V & A waterfront attracted the attention of The One and Only hotel group, who decided to locate their R600 Million flagship hotel in this Cape Town hotspot.

This project sets new records in terms of size, budget, and the level of technical innovation involved in the construction and design choices made.

In servicing the130 luxury hotel rooms and 40 suites, over 15 kilometres of Afripex’s PEX-a polymer piping system has been installed, in diameters ranging from 16 to 75mm. In addition, Afripex’s “Ecoflex” (Pre-insulated and conduit PE-Xa pipe) was used in the distribution of chilled water to the 40 Villa Suites on the Island section, due to its thermal efficiency and protective outer sleeve.
